CELEBRATION PLATFORM
Special occasions deserve a virtual event to complement the party. Celebrately enables a remote alternative to social engagement with the guest of honor. Robots + Rockets requested new design concepts for their platform product. The following study represents design thinking and showcases templates of virtual boards for a graduation and a birthday event. The themes were drawn from a snapshot taken from 80s pop culture. Cards were used as the main UI pattern for content posts.
CONCEPT 1 GRADUATION WALL
Inspiration
The thought of graduation invariably takes me back to the 80s. Having grown up during that time, I naturally drew inspirations from the pop music that shaped the period's aesthetic and general vibe to help set the tone for the design direction. A vivid color palette along with an array of gradients are fused together to define the motifs for this concept.

The color combination of pink, flesh, and
green formed a fine contrast between muted
pastels and punchy hues. This palette was
iconic to design and fashion trends of the 80s.
